Nortel LearniT provides three file formats for most of the videos found on its site: Windows Media Player, Read Player and Google Flash Video. Firefox ver. 2.X is the preferred browser for viewing these formats.

Because Google Video is the provider of the Flash Video file format, please be sure that you are able to access their site (NOTE: some institutions limit access to Google Video).

Other known issues with video playback include:

• Pop-up blockers must be turned off to allow video window to open when using Real and Windows Media players
• Internet Explorer 6 has security issues and may not permit certain video streams to play
• Port 8080 on your router must be open to receive video streams
• Playback of first video selected sometimes may be delayed due to IP negotiation. Thank you for being patient
